Why do we use POM plastic for our washers

Polyoxymethylene (POM) is a plastic used in precision parts that need to be strong, low friction, and maintain shape. It’s often used in industry for gears, bearings, car parts, and more. Polyoxymethylene is also eco-friendly and is used in food containers and medical equipment. Why do we use POM for our washers? It is does not rust, damage expensive forks or frames or leave dents or marks when the axle is twisted or unscrewed. Also it stretchy, which makes it fit better between the frame/fork and the axle cap, making the connection stronger. POM is also easy to work with, does not need to be anodized, and weighs less than aluminum or steel. In our opinion, POM is the best material for washers.
